Halloween

For the first time we took part in our neighborhood Halloween Party. It is just a simple get-together where everyone brings something and it works out really well. It was pretty neat to see all the kids playing games and in their costumes. Bryson had so much fun during the two hour party that by the time all the kids were ready to go trick-or-treating he didn't want to leave as he thought that too boring and wanted to find where the dogs had gone. Here is Bryson's pumpkin all lit up.

It was a little too warm to put him right into his costume. That helped keep all the pizza sauce, BBQ and cookie off it too though . We had always seen kids with those glow sticks so we figured we get some for B. He just thought it was the coolest thing and never really put it down the rest of the night.

Bryson found that someone had left a perfectly good wagon in the middle of the street, so he figured he would get in and claim it for himself.
Watching some of the big kids have a light saber battle.
There were three dogs that were at the party and all dressed up. Bryson would get so excited every time he saw them and would follow them around saying "wooof woooof" and holding out his hand for a lick.
Trying out a ring game.

There's the wagon. Still there and empty so he tried to claim it one more time.

Headed out to get some CANDY!

Daycare Halloween Parade

Bryson had his Daycare Halloween Parade today. He is a "monkey" this year.

"Look Momma, I have my costume on!"Intently watching their friends being tortured during the process of being dressed up!
"Ok, lets go! I am ready!""Look all those people up there are looking at my cuteness too."
"Ok Daddy hurry up! We have to follow these pictures on the ground! "

"Man I can handle this! I just walk around and smile and people hand me things to put in my bucket!"
"Whew, that was some hard work. I worked up a sweat!""Hey why did you take my bucket? I know it is heavy now but I worked hard for all that CANDY!"

Doing inventory and trying to figure out why Momma and Daddy keep eating all this stuff I got. Hopefully they will let me try it and see what a sugar high is!!

My Pumpkin

Bryson got to go and pick out his pumpkin to carve up. It wasn't a great weather day so we went to the local church that had a pumpkin patch (their yard with pallets of pumpkins on them with a rusted out trailer with hay in it so the kids can climb on and get hurt) and grabbed one. B had fun walking through all the pallets and looking at the pumpkins. Everytime Dad thought he had found the perfect one he would show it to B and B would push it away and point back to the pallet. Finally he agreed on a nice oddly shaped one. Figured it wasn't rotted out so we were good to go!

While Dad was getting this thing priced and trying not to pass out because he thought he was buying a fruit not the whole meal at a 5 star restaurant B was having fun playing in the mud.

We got our sticker that said we got our pumpkin and had paid for it!

We got this thing home and got ready to clean it. "When Daddy brought out the big metal spoon that I normally don't get to play with I was SUPER excited! I did let Dad help with the little plastic spoon so he wouldn't hurt himself. "

Bryson did really well and got the idea of what to do UNTIL you tried to get him to touch it! No way did he want any part of that. I mean why else would you use the big spoon!

Here is Momma giving B a little bit of the goo and then B showing her that he didn't want it and quickly giving it back! Then mean Momma grew horns and couldn't resist putting a glop of it on his foot. He then proceeded to have a melt down!

B did forgive her once she showed him how good it tasted if you got a little bit off the spoon!

Company Fall Picnic

With the perfect weekend picked we went to my company's fall picnic! Just can't get over the weather because just three days ago it was 95 degrees and rainy which made it muggy too. But not this Saturday it was clear and 70 degrees all day! So we took B down the road to check out all the action and boy did he enjoy it! Couldn't decide on the pictures because they were all so good so it is a slide show post!

Auburn!

We are gradually getting Bryson into all the things that make up a good game day! Since we turned over the reigns to a new president for the Houston Auburn Club this year we are able to relax a little and take care of Bryson and of course watch more games!

Still can't get anyone to get up with me before the sun comes up to get the smoker going but man there normally isn't much left by the time it gets served.

We are getting alot of quality use of our new covered patio. Nice being able to get everyone outside but still keep an eye on all the games on TV especially since my entertainment center is still BIRD FREE!

B knows it is game day when mom gets his outfit on.

(YES I am probably going to have to break down and get a real camera that can take picture on the go! B is way to fast for our old digital camera or cell phones.)

And since I have WAY to much free time now a days I decided to learn a little about videos. (ie going from a cell phone all the way thru production!) So here is Bryson learning Touchdown Auburn!

Only 2 1/2 more days till the next kickoff!

Cool Weather = Playground

This last weekend the weather turned cool FINALLY! Even though it was short lived it was nice while it lasted. We took the opportunity Sunday when the rain stayed away to take Bryson up to the playground. And this is what we did the next hour- over and over again. Good thing is he learned fast how to get back to the top so he could get the complete circuit down with out us having to follow him everywhere. Except at the top because mom just isn't ready to let him go head first yet!

If you notice we are also working on our counting. We have one done pretty good!

He also suckered us into the swing for awhile!

Sept Is OVER!!!

Man I realized that I almost missed all of September with out a post. Things are moving along here fast. With Oil and Gas starting to feel the strains of the economy things are starting to slow down and everyone is trying to stay on top of things to protect themselves. We ended up missing a trip to the beach Labor day but have enjoyed our time around the house and getting to use the back porch we finished up a year ago. Bryson decided to keep the trend up of waiting until the last second when you are starting to think there could be a problem and then springs forward to doing whatever it is he is suppose to be doing. Case in point we had heard that walking would be a gradual thing were he would give us ideas he is building on skills and getting close. Well that DID NOT happen. Early August we were sitting in the living room having breakfast and litterly B just stood up walked over picked his ball up and walked off!!!!! From then on it was like he had been walking for years. Now with talking we are waiting for him to just look at us one day and ask how the economy is doing because he noticed the stock market was down that day!

I am going to try to catch up in one post and see how many video this thing will let me add!

Here is the Video of the day he started to walk. This wasn't the first walk but it was close and he did the same thing so it was neat to have!

And of course here are some recent ones

Let see what else! Bryson loves to try on Bibs before dinner. Worries me a little but that will be my job later on!

He does not like pickles! At least not yet.

He may be the next American Idol!

We think we can smell through our forehead!

And we love to pick on the cats! The best part is B is fast enough to get close to them and has the height to get to places that used to be safe!

That should catch everyone up!
