No More Tonsils

Bryson had his Tonsils taken out yesterday. Everything went well and the Dr was a little surprised at how big they ended up being. He said the were 4.5 out of a 5 point scale but was still surprised at their size so this should really help Bryson sleeping and not have any restless night.

B getting his vitals checked before surgery.

Playing in the big waiting room.

Playing in the hold room right before surgery. Funny how all the big kids think the little kids toys are so much fun again.

After Surgery and Because B is still under 3 he got to spend the night at the Dr House (hospital).

From everything we had read we weren't really expecting much from him as far as eating and drinking. Especially in the first 24 hours. So when the tray of Soft food came we offered it but didn't think much of it. But in true Graham fashion little man got a whiff of those mash potato's and ate the whole scoop for dinner and then was mad when we didn't have more right there for him!!

Grandma had brought dinner for mom and dad while B was sleeping but she still thought ahead and made sure she got some mashed potato's. When little man woke up at 3:30 in the morning and got changed/meds/fluids they asked if he wanted apple sauce/jello and some other things to which we got a quick NO. But when we remembered and offered the mashed potato's it was down the hatch a couple minute later.

Finally back to sleep and resting comfortable.

Ready to go home! As soon as the nurse said the word go. B thrust out his arm for the IV to go away and was in the stroller still half asleep ready to go! He wasn't taking any chance someone would change their mind.

Sleeping on mom at home. Getting geared up for several more days of rest and relaxation.
A note for his baby book:
Man we thought we had everything. We knew what to expect and had everything covered we could think of. So what did we not prepare for! PEE!!!! Bryson is in pull-ups since he is starting the potty training. So we don't have true diapers around anymore and didn't even think about it being a problem. Well after you see a 3 lbs bag of liquid get pumped in ever 4-5 hours it has to go some were. And the little toy-story 3 pull-ups don't cut it. We ended up going thru a sleeve of those things and still had to change outfits a couple of times. Hence why in a 24 hour time period it looks like he is wearing 4 outfits!

Big Boy Hair Cut

B has always done well getting his haircut. He just normally sits on daddy's lap. But this time he sat all by himself and got a nice haircut. Amazes the ladies every time because he gets mad if they don't use the trimmers on the back of his neck and side burns. And they aren't used to pulling them out for 2.5 year olds.

Why Cats do not Get Close to 2 Year Olds

Our two cats have always kept a little distance from Bryson. But now that he is totally mobile and has the height he can pretty much get to them were ever they are at. Our black cat is way to smart and bolts if Bryson is with in 5 feet. The other one isn't so smart and hence----

I heard a deep ,let all the air out of the cats lung, sound and wondered what was going in. It was B who had found Gracie on the bed in her bed and preceded to "Love" on her!

Just a couple days later I heard a cat squeal and could tell someone wasn't happy. I figured the two cats were fighting. But when I walked out to the living room I found that Gracie had walked to close to a 2.5 year old.
And that he wanted her to watch wiggles with him on the computer. He even pointed out the characters for her. She just loves his love so much!

Labor Day '10

Well with the Oil in the Gulf but none in site at Fort Walton Beach we couldn't pass up the great prices and flew instead of driving over to Fort Walton Beach. That also gave us 2 extra days at the beach so it was a nice change. Bet you cant guess who was there? Yup it was Uncle Greg and Aunt Kathy (Link to their Pictures when posted)

B woke up ready to go. He saw the water and was already telling us to hurry up.

This is pretty much what we did every day. Get sunscreen on and head to the water. B had a play pool set-up for him on the dock so when it was Adult swim time he had a place to go to rest and get ready to go back to swimming. Walmart had 6 packs of water guns for a dollar. When B first got this water gun he knew what it was suppose to do put couldn't quite figure it out. By the end of the week with help from his honorary aunt Michelle he was filling it up with water and squirting anybody and everything!!

B does not like showers!! However at the beach it is OK to take one were you are outside. All you have to do is turn the water on and he strips washes all the pieces and soaps himself up and rinses off! So I guess Dad needs to go ahead and build a shower outside in Texas and that way B can take showers.
B went on a couple of boat rides and stayed awake for them all! Even got to drive for a little while until his dad thought for sure the sheriff boat was going to come over and check it out to see if there was any drinking going on with the number of figure 8 the boat was doing.

Having lunch outside with Great Grandpa looking out at the water.

The last night B went for a BBQ at Uncle Genes house and went swimming (of course). Dad was doing some cannon balls off the diving board and B couldn't resist. However mom after having no problem with it got cold feet at the end. But after a little nudging B did some jumps until dad needed a rest.
