Obsession!!!

That word has new meaning for us. I thought it was something I knew and understood until Bryson met a character named Mickey Mouse!! Now we are truly learning the meaning. Luckily we are learning that this can be an advantage to his parents as well as we have had no problems getting teeth brushed, Christmas pictures and so on as long as we use the phrase "Bryson don't you think Mickey Mouse wants you to (Do or Show) this!" and the answer is immediately "Yeees!!"

Bryson introducing his "Other" Mickey Mouses to his New REALLY big Mickey Mouse his Pappa and Barbar gave him for early Christmas present! Yes it is REALLY BIG!!!!

Showing his Mickey's how to be CRAZY!
Showing new Mickey how to play on toys
How he wants Mickey to watch over him while he sleeps.
Putting Mickey down for Nap time!!
Yes we truley have an obession and its name is Mickey Mouse!

Halloween '10

Bryson had a FUN filled Halloween (even though he felt old enough he didn't need a nap in order to stay up late and have to deal with 80 degree temps here in south Texas). We went to a neighborhood pre-trick-or-treat party first so that all the kids could run around and play games before everyone set off to get their candy!

Bryson helping daddy push the wagon with the goodies down to the party.
Playing hopscotch with the lane dividers.

Loved having his own chair to sit in.

First house!! Well, last year he did pretty good by himself but he wanted Mom and Dad to carry him and do all the talking (i.e. "trick or treat"). I would consider this to be his FIRST official house where with a few little prompts he did the rest!

Just a collection of filling the bucket shots!
He even took time to check out other peoples pumpkins and lanterns!
After about a dozen houses it was time to rest and re-hydrate! Yes, Dad took advantage of the wagon this year. He figured if he was dragging it around all night he should get use of half of it to keep himself hydrated.

Here is one tired, tired, little mouse! He lasted just long enough to get washed up and he and Mickey Mouse headed up to bed to go to little mousey land to rest.

Pumpkin Carving

Well we had a glitch in our camera and lost all of our pumpkin patch photos. He had a great time and picked out our main pumpkin. And even though Dad already knew the answer, when B was asked what he wanted this year's pumpkin to be, without hesitation it was "mee-ee-mouf" (Mickey Mouse).
It's funny, last year he had to stand up to hold onto the spoons but this year he was tall enough to actually sit and help gut the pumpkin.
Checking out all the cool looking stuff inside!

Helping Dad scoop out all the slimy stuff!

This was only the second scoop of so and you can already see orange on his face. He definitely got a bath right afterward!

So after we got it all cleaned out and off, Dad went to work for a little while getting things laid out and carved up! It was a good thing he had all his architecture tools left over from college to help speed things up.

He was one happy camper and he loved to go out and look at it all lit up!

Halloween Packages

Bryson was greeted with a few packages today full of Halloween treats. He must have thought it was his birthday or something with all the stuff that came!!!

Checking out his new Halloween book.
Putting the tea candle in the figurine.

Checking out his crazy eye glasses!!!

This is what we get now if we ask for a pose and say "cheese" picture.

Taking a taste to see how it is!
Playing with his light up Mickey Mouse pumpkin!

School Halloween Party '10

Bryson went to his 3rd Annual Halloween Parade at his day car. They walk through Halliburton and trick-or-treat with all the employees. Halliburton does a great job of decorating a few of the hallways for the kids to walk through and they hand out LOTS lots of candy!

Bryson getting into his Mickey Mouse costume and checking out his Mickey Mouse candy bucket.

Making the walk across the street to start the parade.

Everybody wanted to see his "real "Micky Mouse that of course had to come along.

He had no problem mastering the art of picking out something yummy and getting it stocked away in the bucket for the next one. Even when someone was dressed up really scary, he would just make sure to keep a little space.

Sitting down to enjoy a sucker with his friends after a successful parade!

Recovery

Bryson has been in recovery mode for the last couple of days. After a rough night Friday night he has bounced backed and is on his way back to being able to go visit all his friends at school!

Spent the first couple of days close to mom in the big bed resting up.

Saturday by mid morning Bryson begin to strut his stuff again. Playing with his get well balloons but also having to have his hat on, mickey mouse in one hand and mickey mouse juice in the other. By Sunday Bryson was feeling up to a little get away to the beach. Galveston beach that is. Not the bleached white sand he is normally spoiled with but this beach is only a short drive away too!

Shell Searching, loved to find them and bring them back to be "THROWN" into the wagon for safe keeping!

Monday he is starting to snack on cheese again. Of course grandma still lets him wear half PJ's and jeans out!

Now after a week we will have to begin to un-spoil little man. If that is possible. Could be at least another week before some of those recover!

No More Tonsils

Bryson had his Tonsils taken out yesterday. Everything went well and the Dr was a little surprised at how big they ended up being. He said the were 4.5 out of a 5 point scale but was still surprised at their size so this should really help Bryson sleeping and not have any restless night.

B getting his vitals checked before surgery.

Playing in the big waiting room.

Playing in the hold room right before surgery. Funny how all the big kids think the little kids toys are so much fun again.

After Surgery and Because B is still under 3 he got to spend the night at the Dr House (hospital).

From everything we had read we weren't really expecting much from him as far as eating and drinking. Especially in the first 24 hours. So when the tray of Soft food came we offered it but didn't think much of it. But in true Graham fashion little man got a whiff of those mash potato's and ate the whole scoop for dinner and then was mad when we didn't have more right there for him!!

Grandma had brought dinner for mom and dad while B was sleeping but she still thought ahead and made sure she got some mashed potato's. When little man woke up at 3:30 in the morning and got changed/meds/fluids they asked if he wanted apple sauce/jello and some other things to which we got a quick NO. But when we remembered and offered the mashed potato's it was down the hatch a couple minute later.

Finally back to sleep and resting comfortable.

Ready to go home! As soon as the nurse said the word go. B thrust out his arm for the IV to go away and was in the stroller still half asleep ready to go! He wasn't taking any chance someone would change their mind.

Sleeping on mom at home. Getting geared up for several more days of rest and relaxation.
A note for his baby book:
Man we thought we had everything. We knew what to expect and had everything covered we could think of. So what did we not prepare for! PEE!!!! Bryson is in pull-ups since he is starting the potty training. So we don't have true diapers around anymore and didn't even think about it being a problem. Well after you see a 3 lbs bag of liquid get pumped in ever 4-5 hours it has to go some were. And the little toy-story 3 pull-ups don't cut it. We ended up going thru a sleeve of those things and still had to change outfits a couple of times. Hence why in a 24 hour time period it looks like he is wearing 4 outfits!
