The Perfect Picture!

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!! (But we do get LUCKY sometimes)

We were asked to send a picture of B for a Christmas card. For the one picture we finally got and sent there are another 100 + that we couldn't use. This was the case for our Christmas card too. I couldn't imagine how it must have been when you didn't have digital and would have to print them all out and just discard them!!! Or to try to do this with two kids together. So to honor us and the hours we spent and the other parents out there who got pictures and cards done here is a taste of some the not so good pictures!
Goal: One picture with Bryson in Christmas PJ's with a Christmas background including a figure.

1st try. Bryson meet Frosty-Bryson push Frosty over!

Trying to hold him up long enough to snap a pic and keep him upright.

Finally we convinced him to love on Santa of course he doesn't look at the camera then!
Showing how enthused he is about this

New game lets jump up and run away.

Or pull ornaments off the tree since I get to be so close to it.

Only if he had one of those old style pockets in the back were he could show a little bum and let us know how he really feels.
OK take Frosty out of equation and try just a simple jingle bell thing. But now it is a new thing and not interested in looking up.

And we are back to running around.
Realised Frosty wasn't to far away so now he would beat him with the rattle.

NO COMMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

School Christmas Party

Bryson invited us to his school to enjoy a Christmas party with him and his friends.

Bryson likes dad to sit in his little chair with him at the table while he finish up his snack.

Showing us how he is drinking from big boy cups.B's "mom I am eating a chip why are you taking my picture face!"This is the I am high on sugar and about to go crazy on y'all look!

Snow in South Texas

Bryson got to see his first real snow in Texas earlier in Dec. Last year he got to see the start of some flurries before we headed out of town to New York and missed all the snow on the ground.

This was what I came across going into daycare to get B. One of the ladies had come out and made a little snowman. It was even funnier when I was walking out and realised the other side was dressed up with a face and buttons.

All the kids lined up at the window trying to figure out what is going on with the world and that white stuff.

Not so sure about all the cold and wetness. So we hurried along inside to get all bundled up.

After this dad put the camera away and went to enjoy the snow too.

Cupcakes for Mom's B-day

Bryson made cupcakes for his mom b-day right before Thanksgiving. They turned out great and mom was really surprised by them.

Bryson getting all the stuff into the bowl. He feels like he is on the food network were everything is already measured and ready to go.

Mixing it all together.

After playtime! Dad broke out the electric mixer but B and a little black hairball weren't to fond of that.
Mandatory taste test definitely the one thing you cant forget! (even with mom screaming in the background about there being raw eggs)

Getting all the batter into the cups the best he could.

Decorating the cupcakes. Who couldn't smile getting to play with a knife!

The best part had to be getting to surprise mom with them and then helping her blow her candles out!

Thanksgiving

Bryson got to spend Thanksgiving at the beach this year. We took off after work and came back Sunday. Other than the traffic it was a good trip. We had lots of stuff for Bryson to do and the DVD player doesn't hurt!

When all else failed it was sticker time!

Since we arrived so late Bryson woke to very unusual surroundings. Probably didn't help to have crazy family rushing in to see him and take pictures of him!

Checking out all his toys that he "leaves" at the beach and of course all the news ones that arrive every time he comes.

Even though it was freezing outside he remembered his doggy friend and just had to throw her the ball! Bryson had Fried and smoked turkey. The camera lady only got the fried one I guess because her man was in charge of that! Bryson new game after bath time and before bed is to play get away! So you never know what is going to appear when you hear a laughing squealing kid coming down the hall. Let just say this was one of the more PG nights were mom was able to get a diaper on at least.Someone being a little crazy while the Iron Bowl was on! Guess he couldn't believe what was happening either. Not a baby anymore. (although that paci is mighty important!)

Don't really remember what is going on here. But I am pretty sure B is giving his uncle the I like you but you better give me back my paci look! Bryson showing his Aunt and Uncle how to build things.

Aquarium

We have a seafood restaurant downtown named Aquarium. But it is also a miniature amusement park with a train that drives thru a shark tank, Carousel, Ferris Wheel, games and an actual walk thru aquarium. Normally it is $15/person and with parking and crowds we have stayed away. Kristi's company got us a special this last weekend were it was only $5/person and made it more intriguing to try out. So we took little man down early and were glad we gave it a try. We did the train ride first since we knew that was the hot attraction. But they are really set up to handle the crowds and we never had to really wait in line for anything.
B getting all settled into the train seat. But it became obvious he couldn't see anything being stuck in the middle!

Here is a video of inside the shark tunnel. None of the pictures turned out but the video did ok.

Then of course when you get off the train you have to pass all the games and Dad couldn't resist a little teaching time on proper fishing technique.
Intensely concentrating on what was going on.
Pulling in his catch!

Trying to figure out what his prize was. (giant stuffed snake with an eye patch)
Next we went to the Carousel. Picked a nice looking gator to ride on and figured we were all set to go. But then B wasn't so sure about it and was ready to get off it as soon as possibly! Then it started to move and it was the coolest thing ever. Loved every moment of it. So the ride ended and we started to head off and B decided that, what was child cruelty, he couldn't leave. So we switched animals and rode it again until dad was to dizzy to stay on it and was ready for something else. Were we decided to have a little meltdown having to say good bye to the animals.
Figured since it was getting a little warm we would head in and check out the aquarium part and get a little A/C. Here is B pointing out the fish to us so we wouldn't miss them. He kept trying to wake this nurse shark up but it was much to comfortable to care about the 19 month old banging on the glass and squealing. Guess the dark and cool air finally slowed B down enough were he was ready to do some riding and checking out the rest of the fish from his chair! Their special attraction was a pair of white tigers. But B just figured they were big kitties that meow and since he has a couple of those at home he wasn't to interested.Even at 19 months old you can't get out of the gift shop with out the kid wanting everything. Bryson checking out the Sloth on the way out.
So with a thoroughly worn out kid we headed home in the hopes of a good football night that just didn't materialize. But we all wear our orange in support!
