1ST Baby Shower

Being home for the holidays made it a great time for a B-ham baby shower. Family and friends were able to come in from around the state but many also participated from long distances with care packages. It is great to know we are so lucky to have a great support structure.

Special thanks to Natalie and Keri for letting people into their homes and getting invitations out.

I am sure TSA is going to love seeing us in the security line.

26 Week Check-Up

Well we had our last four week check up. Yeah!!! Oh wait now we have to go every two weeks. Baby Graham doesn't mind but I think his dad will be skipping some of these next couple. Spending an hour in the waiting room with 50 pregnant women at 7am Fri mornings and then realizing that it is just another pee in the cup and heart Doppler check is some how getting old. Even had some breast feeding mom giving me the dirty look like I was trying to check her out or something!

On a positive note mom and baby are doing great. Baby Graham had a 152 BPM heart rate and it took the lady like 2 sec to get a reading (normally this has been taking up to a minute to find). So he is definitely getting big. Mom got to do the glucose/sugar test thing but said it wasn't as bad as she had heard and is just glad it is over.

We had Christmas parties every day this past week so hopefully we will get a picture back from one of them and I can get it up. Kristi will also be having her first Baby Shower next week in B-ham so I will try to get some pics from that.

Also we wanted to congratulate the King Family on the birth of their son Logan (aka Whizz Kid). You can check out his pictures by clicking here . Baby Graham can't wait to have a play date....maybe at an Auburn Game next year!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL !! !!!!!!

End of 22 Weeks- Check Up

Time is flying by. Everything is looking good for mom and baby. Baby had a heart rate of 153 b/m today and is a wiggling fool. If it is a sign of things to come then we better get ready for some serious chasing! We are in the gruelling process of picking out a name for Baby Boy Graham since Kristi did not go for my idea of selling naming rights on e-bay!

Star Bucks Graham

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. We will be on the road and will be attending a little football game at the end of the week. Auburn vs al to put a little whopping on little satan.

The Color Blue

Well we had our 19 week anatomy exam check-up. All went well and the doctor was able to get good measurements . I thought I was at work the way the doctor was throwing out inches and diameters. The baby was measuring one day ahead of the target day so that was good to hear that we are right on schedule. As we were looking at the kidneys it became evident that we had a baby boy on our hands. No good pictures it was a quick flash but there are plenty more doctors visits for that.

Heart Beat

Here is the first recorded sound of the baby's heartbeat. It is still a STRONG 156 beats per minute.

Preparing for Future Embarrassments

Well for the first time in a long time I got dressed up for Halloween. Kristi said I need to get used to doing these type of things with/for our kids. Not sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing but our costumes were such a hit (could it be a possible likeness) we were asked for many photo ops!

16 Week Follow Up Visit

Well, it has been 4 weeks since our last doctors visit and our baby is doing well. We didn’t get to have a sonogram this visit (guess we got spoiled from the first two visits) so no new pics to share. But since the baby’s heart rate is strong enough to hear now, the nurse used a small Doppler device to listen for the heartbeat...a strong 155 beats per minute! We should have much more news and new pictures to share after the next visit as that is the big half way point visit, 20 weeks!

Welcome!

Well hello everyone! We have decided we are far enough along now that we are going to open the page up to everyone. To some family this will be just an update but for many this will be our announcement. We have been very busy on top of getting used to the idea of having a little one running around. Luckily we still have a little while longer to adjust. But like all good things I am sure it is going to fly by and we will be at the end of March soon. Well, we are glad everyone stopped by and I hope this will help the family and our friends keep tabs on us and we will try to keep it updated. We have many friends with blogs who we have been learning from and hope to keep up a good example. Hope to talk or see everyone soon!!!

End of a Trimester

Well we had our second doctors visit and we are now out of the first trimester. Baby Graham had a heart rate of 158, which was very good. There was a lot of squirming going on and half way thru the test decided to roll over and give us a smile as you can see above.

It is hard to make out but we were able to see two arms and two legs. Must have my appetite because even at 2.5" long Baby Graham is already 4 days bigger than projected. Those vitamins must be working. They aren't moving the date so we are still projecting somewhere around March 25!

Letting People Know

Here is Noah, Baby Grahams big cousin. He is getting ready to tell the family the big news. He looked a little happy.

First Doctor Visit

Well we had out first doctors visit Friday and everything was great. We calculated we were at 7 weeks 3 days and the computer said 7 weeks and 4 days so that is pretty good. Little one was 1.36 cm which is about a little smaller than your thumb. The dotted line is its body. The round thing that looks like a head (that’s what I thought) is actually like a yolk sac that will become the placenta in a couple more weeks. The approximate due date is March 25 of 2008. The heart beat was very visible but is to weak to pick up on machines for several more weeks.

One Line or Two

Man technology has come along way. Kristi surprised me this morning while I was making breakfast with this. Don't have to read the side of the box to figure out what this meant!
